For many, being forced to leave one’s home means having their previous life destroyed. However, for some, it means starting a new life. Joyce’s story is the latter. 

Victor is not only a capable artisan of Kibebe, he is also an honest friend and admirable mentor. From his story, we see the ripple effect of Kibebe’s impact and it inspires us to empower more individuals like him. We believe that when one is empowered, he or she will be able to empower many more others. 

Though dramatic, Anna’s story highlights not her uncommon past, but a common human need—being able to meet the family’s needs through dignified work. Having an honest job, simple as that, is a critical part of having a normal life. It is Kibebe’s long standing mission to provide job opportunities to families like Anna’s to thrive economically and emotionally.
